Handmade in England, based on a craft tradition passed down through generations. The case is crafted from high-quality deerskin leather in a small leather breeches manufactory north of Lake Traunsee. To make this gift even more special, personal engraving is available on both main sides.
Traditionally, hikers, hunters, and travelers use the hip flask as a practical item. Usually carried close to the body, the safety and durability of the material also play an important role. Formerly made of glass, the pewter version was later fitted with a high-quality deerskin case. In recent years, a trend from overseas has begun to take hold: hip flasks as an original wedding gift from the groom to the best men.
Curious side note:
A famous film scene involving a hip flask appears in Billy Wilder's "Some Like It Hot," set during Prohibition. There, singer Sugar Kane Kowalczyk, played by Marilyn Monroe, drops a hip flask from her underwear while rehearsing too intensely with her all-female big band. In 2010, a scene in which Charlie Sheen takes a swig from a hip flask at a funeral in the sitcom "Two and a Half Men" became famous.
