Story
Linen is one of the oldest textile fibers in the world. Early finds date back to 36,000 BC. As early as 4000 BC, high-ranking dignitaries were wrapped in linen to preserve them for posterity. Linen, used as a decorative element with woven patterns, reached Europe via various trade routes. Here, weaving techniques were refined over centuries. The making of sails and the conservation of works of art are just a few of the customs that, alongside fashion, have proven their worth and endured from the Middle Ages and Renaissance to the present day.

sustainability
The exceptional quality of linen is evident right from the field. Traditional flax cultivation protects the soil and is in harmony with sensitive ecosystems. Linen fabric itself is extremely environmentally friendly, as it requires fewer resources for growth and processing and is biodegradable. Every centimeter of fabric is used in the production process, not least to minimize waste. High-quality linen products are also characterized by their long lifespan.
